So likely lose Kouyate, Sakho, Song

noble is also potentially out due to his eligibility to play for nigeria.

Sakho we can probably live without assuming the other strikers remain fit and Carroll has returned, but losing Song and Kouyate together could be massive and have implications in defence as well as midfield, especially if any of Tomkins, Collins or Reid aren't fit.

Lucky the entire tournament takes place during the transfer window so we'd be able to potentially solve any dire squad situation which may arise...

tournament runs through Hull at home, United at home and Liverpool aaway

I would assume a potential FA Cup match if we made it out the 3rd round for once as there no fixture on Jan 24

Right shit time of the season to have anyone out, let alone players that could well be fit and playing well at the time.

Make the cunts play it in the summer alongside the Euros.

Why is this tournament every year? It's so shit. It's only worth watching for the goalies who look like they've been plucked from the stand just before kick off

would appear to be an ideal time for any proposed mid-season break

although I'm not sure if the other leagues that do have a break already tie in with the African Cup or not?

Yeah why should the entire continent of Africa have a football tournament, I mean it's not like EVERY OTHER continent does the same thing

Oh boo hoo how inconsiderate of them to have it in the English football season, don't they know who we are

Div

Besides, Sam will only try to win one of our games in January anyway so doubt it'll make any difference

academy

but it's not just in the middle of the english season is it, it's in the middle of every european league and probably many other foreign league seasons too. plus europe has their tournament once every 4 years, not every 2 years like africa.

Just as important we pay their wages

If Africa have it every 2 years make them pay the players wages or loan fees

Competition annoys me. Then they go missing in the jungle after for weeks on "holiday" and can never be found.

And that's not racist. Nigeria. Senegal. Ghana. They all have jungles and considering clubs "can't find them" I'm guessing on the jungle.

Every two years? Africa is greedy.

Simple as that. Fucking Comic Relief. Now Sports Relief.

But they keep pissing the money away on gold chains and fake Beats by Dre.

Wasters.

Returning players will then need another two months to get back to level of fitness required to play for West Ham.
